Mix Challenge Liner Notes
I listened to this album over and over when I moved into my first grown-up apartment in San Francisco. I remember feeling cool that I knew who this band was and that I could go see them somewhere like the Fillmore and it would be awesome. What stuck with me were the overarching themes about home being where you make it and feeling far away, even when you may be close to where you want to be. So I went with songs that reminded me of that time, or of being homesick, or of being stuck, or of moving on, or of space in general. Plus I threw in a throwback band to my first ever mix contest (Lemon Jelly). Good times!
Enjoy!
